Noise App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Noise App (“the App”), developed by My Condo Space, collects, uses, and handles your information.

1. What the App Collects

The App collects only the data needed to measure and document noise incidents:

  • Noise measurements: decibel levels (average, maximum, minimum, peak) and time-based samples.
  • Timestamps: start and end times of recordings.
  • Optional location data: if you allow location access, the App may store an approximate address or coordinates for a recording.
  • User notes: any text you choose to enter.
  • Video recordings (optional): if you use the camera feature, video (including audio) is saved as evidence.

The App does not store raw audio recordings for standard noise measurements. It only stores calculated noise levels.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored locally on your device, including:

  • Noise recordings and measurements
  • Reports (PDF files)
  • Video evidence (if recorded)

The App does not require user accounts and does not store your data in a cloud database operated by us.

3. AI Analysis (Server Processing)

If you use the AI analysis feature, certain data is securely sent to our server for processing.

This may include:

  • Noise measurement summaries (average, max, min)
  • Recording duration
  • Time of day (day or night)
  • Optional location (if available)
  • Optional notes you entered

This data is transmitted over a secure (HTTPS) connection and is used only to generate a noise analysis report.

We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

4. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Microphone: to measure noise levels
  • Camera: to record video evidence
  • Location (optional): to tag recordings with location
  • Photos (optional): to save recorded videos to your photo library
  • Notifications: to support app features such as activity updates

You can control these permissions at any time in your device settings.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

The only external data transfer occurs when using the AI analysis feature, as described above.

6. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it.

You can delete:

  • Individual recordings
  • All recordings
  • Generated reports

When you delete data within the App, associated files (such as videos and reports) are also removed from your device.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data:

  • Data sent for AI analysis is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections
  • Data stored on your device remains within your device’s protected storage environment

However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
